Il Teatrino di Edo
Più di trenta volontari, uomini e donne, pensionati e non (dagli otto agli ottant’anni), per far rivivere a Cavezzo la tradizione dei burattini.
Su iniziativa del Comune e del gruppo locale di Auser è nato “Il teatrino di Edo”.
Questo progetto, che trova forza nel desiderio condiviso da numerosi cavezzesi di far rivivere in paese la magia del mondo dei burattini, è dedicato a Edo, cioè a Edoardo Apici (Cavezzo 1948 – Cervia 2007). Già componente negli anni Settanta e Ottanta degli organismi di gestione della Biblioteca comunale di Cavezzo e del Laboratorio fotografico comunale, animatore e coordinatore nelle attività extrascolastiche locali, Edoardo operò con testardaggine e perlopiù in solitudine per il recupero della tradizione disvetrese della famiglia Preti e a lungo sognò il ritorno di un teatrino stabile dei burattini.
Perseguendo gli obiettivi del progetto, si è dato vita a una compagnia di burattinai: “Il teatrino di Edo”. I componenti del gruppo hanno costruito la baracca, il frontone, i burattini con le loro teste di legno e i loro bei vestiti, i fondali, gli oggetti di scena, le sagome. Oggi, dopo circa trenta serate di prove, i burattinai e le burattinaie insieme con l’orchestrina (chitarra, due fisarmoniche e voce solista) sono pronti per presentarsi al pubblico. More than thirty volunteers, men and women, retired and otherwise (aged between eight and eighty), have come together to revive the tradition of puppetry in Cavezzo.
On the initiative of the municipality and the local Auser group, “Il teatrino di Edo” (Edo's theater) was born.
This project, which draws strength from the shared desire of many Cavezzo residents to revive the magic of the world of puppets in the town, is dedicated to Edo, or Edoardo Apici (Cavezzo 1948 - Cervia 2007). A member of the management bodies of the Cavezzo Municipal Library and the Municipal Photography Laboratory in the 1970s and 1980s, as well as an animator and coordinator of local extracurricular activities, Edoardo worked stubbornly and mostly alone to revive the Disvetrese tradition of the Preti family and long dreamed of the return of a permanent puppet theater.
In pursuit of the project's objectives, a puppet theater company was created: “Il teatrino di Edo” (Edo's Little Theater).
The members of the group built the hut, the gable, the puppets with their wooden heads and beautiful clothes, the backdrops, the props, and the silhouettes. Today, after about thirty evenings of rehearsals, the puppeteers, together with the small orchestra (guitar, two accordions, and solo voice), are ready to perform in front of an audience. Everything is strictly live.
